Out of the world of Commercial Design , fine Art and Antiques comes a documentary filmmaker who is turning heads. Gone are the days of long winded narration and commentary.
Scott Wurth is an Australian filmmaker who trained in the USA, graduating from the Art Centre College Of Design, Pasadena California with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1987.
A widely acclaimed still photographer, Wurth was named digital photographer for New South Wales at the Professional Photography Awards of 1996, where he also won a gold medal and was runner-up in the Australian Portrait Photographer Of The Year category.
Tira Bakal (Striking Metal), a 25 minute documentary on the Santos Family and their Holy Week ritual in Pampanga, has already won best documentary and best director awards at NEFFA (Nigerian Academy Accredited Film Festival) in Lagos. It is showing at the Long Island International Film Expo, Philadelphia Independent Film Festival, Indianapolis International Film Festival, Revelation Perth International Film Festival and Salento Film Festival.
